I’m so glad you’re here.
I am here to support you on your journey. Therapy is a vital tool and investment in your quality of life. It empowers each of us to dedicate time to thoughtful reflection, meaning making, and cultivating self-compassion. We all need spaces where we feel like we can
talk and really be heard.
I have had the privilege of providing mental health support in a variety of settings to people from all walks of life. Is it important to me to build meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients and to show up for every individual with compassion, authenticity, and a sincere belief in their intrinsic worthiness. I am deeply invested in cultivating an inclusive environment that is trauma-informed, LGBTQIA2S+ friendly and identity affirming. I take a holistic approach to mental health support, treating the whole
person in their unique sociocultural context.
My professional journey into psychotherapy has been shaped, in countless ways, by my personal journey and lifelong love of learning. My approach reflects the diversity of my own background and experiences. I am passionate about protecting, supporting, and working to improve the lives of others.
My personal journey began in San Diego, California where I was born and raised. I
earned a B.A. in English from the University of Southern California and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Wyoming. I began working with school-age children in a public-charter Montessori school where I received formal training in primary
and lower elementary education curriculum. I continue to be intrigued (and impressed) by the work of Dr. Maria Montessori; in particular, the emphasis on curiosity, wonder, and peace as essential points of human connection. I found that many of the most
impactful lessons in the classroom, for myself as much as the children, centered on social-emotional learning.
I have always pursued opportunities to be active and engaged with the community,
doing everything from theatre with at-risk teens in East Los Angeles to organizing staged readings by writers of color in rural Wyoming. As an educator, I had the opportunity to teach English to immigrant families, Women’s Studies to incarcerated teen girls, Whiteness Studies to ranch kids, and Latinx Studies to kindergarteners. After several years in the profession, I left teaching to pursue clinical social work to broaden
the scope of my work helping others.
After earning a Master’s degree in Social Work from Denver University in 2018, I have continued to support children and families. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I value social justice and take pride in providing culturally responsive therapy. I have experience and training in multiple modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Based Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Emotion Focused Therapy. This journey has equipped me with a robust set of skills and a broad knowledge base, allowing me to address a variety of mental health challenges effectively. My greatest joy is connecting and communicating with clients in a way that provides validation, recognizes strengths, and empowers them on their unique life journey.
I look forward to hearing your story.
